Who? What does he need from me if even it is not much? Why does he need it?
The “who” is the devil, “what” he needs from you is just a little sin and the “why” is to take you to hell.
Hey young lady, do you know that the devil doesnt really need you to become a brothel prostitute or a stripper at the club in order to take you to hell? Sure he will be glad if you are neck-deep in immorality, drunkenness, drug addiction, armed robbery or any of the numerous notorious ways of life, but he doesnt need that much before he secures you a place in hell. He just needs just a little sin of lie, malice, un-forgiveness or pride somewhere hidden in your life. If he is enticing you to commit more sins, he only wants to be double sure you are still following him, otherwise, the stain of lie or lust is enough to disqualify you from entering within the pearly gates of heaven.
My brother, the devil doesnt need you to be a drunk or an armed robber, he only needs you to have a dirty immoral picture somewhere in your privacy for lusting, or any of those secret sins then you are on your free course to hell.
Pastor, the devil doesnt need you to stop preaching, he only needs you to loose your guard on one careless occasion and fall into adultery with one of his seductively dressed agent on mission in your church and that will be enough. The shame of restitution, the damage to your ministry and marriage, the demonic cloud of darkness engulfing your life will be ready made hooks and ropes already dragging you to hell.
You cool headed church going, high flying young man, the devil just needs to blindfold you with the deceitfulness of riches, ambition and career so that you will keep snubbing the real call to salvation while you stick to your moral upbringing alone knowing fully well that you cannot be righteous enough to get to heaven by your good deeds alone.
So beloved, the devil does not really need you to have so many sins attached to you; he just needs just one, knowing that according to the Isaiah 35:8, you are going no where near heaven.
“And a highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein”. (Isaiah 35:8)
In order to counter the simplicity of going to hell, Jesus went to the cross to die for you. He shed his blood for the remission of your sin. All you just need is to simply ask for that blood of Jesus to wash you clean. Just like that, you are washed by the blood to be come whiter than snow.
It doesn’t matter how bad and reckless you have lived you live, the moment you plead that blood of Jesus, your sins are washed away.
“Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool”. (Isaiah 1:18)
Ironically, heaven and hell are two extreme places (one of extreme rejoicing and peace while the other extreme pains and regrets), but they have something in common. You just need to take just simple steps before you are sealed for any of them. To get to heaven, you don’t have to be a pastor or a deacon, all you need is to be washed by the blood of Jesus and stay clean by not going into those things of sin again, while to get to hell, you just need a little sin and stay sinful like that without repenting. So the choice is yours; which simple step do you want to take?
God Bless you big
