Your life is like a vapour
The bible compares your life with vapour.
“Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away”. (Jam 4:14)
When water is boiling, the heat gradually changes the liquid water into steam (vapour) which escapes out of the liquid’s surface only to be cooled back into water droplet when the steam touches a cold substance as it ascend. This is a picture of the life of every human being. Your present existence in your body is not your permanent form. Everything you have access to here on earth – money family, material, education etc- is just for a while. Sooner of letter (on a date that you don’t know) you will change into your original form – just life vapour cools down to become water.
Originally, you are an immortal (undying) soul. The day you were conceived in your mother’s womb was only the day your physical life began, but the actual fact is that you’ve existed far before then and you will not cease to exist after you remove this body in death. (Jeremiah 1: 5)
But the only issue is that you will have to stand before your maker and give account of everything you’ve done in the flesh.
Beloved, if you are to stand before Him today, what will you say? Remember, He doesn’t need anybody to give Him information about you because He sees everything you do in secret. He’ll bring everything you’ve done into judgement to determine whether you’ll go to eternal damnation in the lake of fire or an eternal justification and glorification in the celestial city of heaven. If your desire is to gain an eternal glorification with Jesus, then you need to be born again. Accept yourself as a sinner, ask God to forgive you your sins and decide to utilize the grace of God so that you go into sin no more. Remember, no matter how long you spend on earth, you’ll spend far more in heaven of hell.
